Walk A Wolf Hound In Ireland
Apr 11, 2024
I am so happy Arielle has arrived! It has spiced up the vacation and completely corrected the dynamic. I always have such a great time with Arielle, especially when we are adventuring outside. If it wasn’t for her I don’t think I would have ever got so hooked on hiking. It was her, quarry and I that began hiking just a year ago and it quickly became a lifestyle for me. We have a lot of common interests and never run out of things to talk about! Plus we are bunking together for the rest of the trip so it is going to be giggles and laughs the whole time!
Today was all about Photoshoots, walking the Wolf Hounds, and High Tea! Since Arielle had just gotten to London she was jet-lagged. And since she was up and we were sharing a bed, this meant I was up! But we made the most of it. We made baileys and coffee, got ourselves dressed cute, and matching of course, and headed out to beat the sun rising! We sat out front the castle, and just as the sun was coming up the entire sky turned baby purple. It was right out of a dream. Not another person in sight, just us and the birds. We had a beautiful and memorable morning. I am just over the moon that Arielle is here Smiling, and laughing and making the most out of life! We feasted at the breakfast buffet and went for our first experience. Today we walked the Wolf Hounds. They are dogs.. if you can call them that. They sure don’t look like dogs, more like large creatures. If I kneel they taller than me and they look otherworldly. There are 2 of them that live here at the castle. After the hounds I had to have a laydown, those wine pairings get me every time! Slightly ill, no big deal. I may have overdone it last night but what’s new. I have a low tolerance for alcohol, especially when it comes to mixing wines! 4 hours later and the best nap of my life I was back! Alive again, only I couldn’t find anyone so naturally I wandered down to have a self-love date with myself and overindulge with a luxurious High Tea experience! I mean come on! You cant skip High Tea at a Castle! I think it's safe to safe, I am starting to prefer eating alone. I seem to eat slower and I am more mindful about my eating. Taking my time to taste each bite and think about the flavors. When I eat with other people, I am so busy talking and having a conversation that I barely notice or even taste the food.
