Let's work through the Etymology of the word 'SENSE.'
There are 11 meanings for the word SENSE.
ONLY 1 refers exclusively to what we consider the 5 'socially acceptable senses', AND ALL the rest describe INTUITION and one's soul state in regards to 'FEELINGS.' - Not to be misinterpreted with touch.
The one we were taught: Sight, Sound, Smell, Taste, and Touch.

Let's look at the history - in Christianity - 'faculty of perception to import interpretation. Latin roots -an undertaking of meaning - SENTIRE -' perceive, feel, know, figuratively and literally meaning 'to find ones way.' or 'to go mentally.' from the root - SENT - 'to go,' 'to go, travel, have in mind…. Old English? 'Way, journey,' 'be conscious inwardly of one's state or condition.'
