What am I studying this week? Thoth’s Prophecy from the Hermetic Texts. What’s the problem with the world? Why is society changing? Lack of compassion, respect for the earth, and even for one another? It’s simple, we have severed our connection with spirit. The link between source and spirit, the universe and ourselves, must be restored in order to move forward. In order to move forward as individuals and personal growth as well as move forward as a society. We can not move forward if we do not restore connection with spirit. The exterior trappings of life, consumerism, work, and ‘the organized system’ are all just distractions. Keeping us busy in order to not look at what really matters. The goal of life, the purpose why we were born was not to wake up, hate life, go to an unfilling job to pay bills that that creates missery, only to then take our anxieties/misery/discomfort out on those around us. We are at a moment of cross roads in life, none of us can create changes on a macro level, but we can make changes on a micro level. Changes driven by improvement and love. The overwhelming seriousness of global warming/state of our planet/the loss of morals or values in our society will not be changed by one of us, but each of us can slowly start to choose not to participate in acts that aid in the effort. With time and enough minds changed, the larger problem becomes solved. ⁠This goes for all probelms facing our modern societies.⁠
Our jobs are to show up and be the best version of ourselves every day and then invite those around us to join us. •
