Smoke Ceremony
An ancient smoke ceremony. Mari, the shamanic healer at We Care has been taught by circles of grandmas from different tribes, blending together what she has learned from multiple cultures to perform the smoke ceremony you get to experience when visiting. She guided us all through a ceremony of letting go. Much like the evening we had when we practiced how to pull back in our energy, we all privately wrote down what we wanted to let go of and we released it back to the universe into the fire. It was a magical evening. The desert winds were howling, and the fire was dancing from them. One by one we each wanted up and circled the fire, giving back what we no longer wanted. This year instead of naming individual small things that I felt that should be removed from my life, I simple wrote “Anything and everything that is holding me back from my destiny.”a
