This hotel was a new choice for us. Neither of us had ever stayed at a Kimpton Hotel before and thought it would be nice to get out of our comfort zones to try something new. How did we pick our hotel in Seattle? Instagram, of course! Research should always be done before booking a hotel. Although photos can be deceiving, now that they are taking by guests and not the hotel themselves, they are a great way to check out where you want to go. I usually start by googling a list of the top ‘boutique’ or ‘luxury hotels’ in a city. From there I will Youtube Vlogs, and reviews of my top choices, and look the hotels up on Instagram. When I did this for Seattle, The Kimpton stood out!
The hotel was funky, with very modern furnishings. The decor consisted of lots of bright colours and bold patterns (Mostly Blues and Yellows). The staff were all very sweet and always had smiles from ear to ear. We loved our room, had this bright and bold blue wallpaper, and almost 70’s style pillows. Even the robes were leopard print, not the typical white!

Seattle Streets
If you like walking, Seattle is the city for you. We walked 13 km in our one evening in Seattle. Half by choice, and half by confusion (I’ll explain in a bit). The streets are extremely steep and make for great exercise just by walking around. We enjoyed the fresh, brisk air, and it is cold in Seattle this time of year. If you are planning to visit, you will want to pack a winter coat.

Tony Robbins was phenomenal!
The night before we went I told Nikki, ‘I just know we will hear one take away tomorrow that will re-shape our lives forever’ And we did. Tony offered so much value in one hour; it took me days to digest it afterwards. The presence of this man is unlike others. I have been in many rooms, with many great speakers. And Tony is the real deal. In person, he comes across exactly as he does online. Now, you may think that is an odd comment. However, over the years, I have seen/met many speakers who’re presence and word face to face is much different than their online persona. I call it their persona online because in person they didn’t feel authentic to me.
