How I make my ROAD MAP
Apr 12, 2024Summary Description:
The vision board is the high-level executive view over everything and from there we want to execute downwards and implement and take action. But we can't take action on all of it at once. So in this video, I talk about how I have taken the grander vision from the vision board, and broken it down into steps, for the road map... I always say in life you've got to keep your head down like a racehorse and just focus on the next step in front of you…

Okay, so you're gonna notice that the board is empty and that's because I had a huge realization this week. I can't keep everything on the roadmap at one time. You know how I always say in life you've got to keep your head down like a racehorse and just focus on the next step in front of you and not look up with the bigger vision? That's why we have the vision board. The vision board is the bigger picture. The vision board is the high level executive view over everything and from there we want to execute downwards and implement and take action. But we can't take action on all of it at once. So I've kind of come to the realization that even though I have taken the grander vision from the vision board, and broken it down into steps, for the road map... I think even the road map has to be simplified. I don't think I can go from the vision board to another huge board. It doesn't actually simplify it as much as it could. So I've come up with a better strategy because we're always improving our processes. What I decided is only the next step gets to go on the roadmap. Only the next step in that category. So please don't mind how messy my board is right now. There has been so much writing and wiping and I just haven't wanted to stop to simply draw it back out. I keep the next step for that category on the roadmap under its column. From there, I'm actually keeping them now all in a --- because it was just becoming so overwhelming.
