Learning is Earning  + PROACTIVE

I used to subscribe to, “Oh, I'll just put it on my vision board, and it will happen." Because that's what everyone was telling me online.

But then I stopped and looked at their lives... none of them had their vision board life. And they were all waiting.

The game is to set your aim.

KNOW where you are going. Then, as God is working behind the scenes, you get up and pay life the price so you can be handed your reward. The vision board is for visual imprinting - it's 1 piece of the trinity needed to move from waiting and wishing to living in your designed life.

Aim. Vision. Action

I believe in goal setting.

I believe in visioning

I believe in planning.

And I know none of that is any good unless I do the work. Ultimately, we pick our goals and our visions, which are reminders to our minds daily of where we are going. However, the highest belief I hold is that of HARD WORK. There is nothing more honorable in life than a prideful work ethic. At the end of the day, when you arrive at your rewards, the reward does feel great, however, the real accomplishment is found in the hard work you had to do to arrive there. Every challenge you overcame, every obstacle you figured out, is what will fill you with the sense of abundance and accomplishment you are looking for. This is why when things are handed to us in life, we do not value them. You know what they say: easy come, easy go. Or, in this case easy equals no inherent value to the Soul or our goals.  I have come to realize what a disservice many are doing to others preaching sitting around and wishing for things to happen - for I look at those preaching this lifestyle and they have not accomplished anything grand or changed their lives. Many don’t like when I speak of hard work, but at the end of the day the proof is in the pudding. I got everything I asked for only because I traded my blood sweat and tears and made it happen until it appeared. None of what I have pulled off appeared on its own. I share this with you because I want you to get what you ask for in life. I don’t want to see anyone fall into the trap of ‘just magnetize it to you.’ That won’t happen and sadly it will be too late if by the time many figure that out and they will miss their dream

Be PROACTIVE

How does one guarantee a successful life? There are few ways to pay yourself in a manner that no one can ever take that value from you. Learning is the ultimate skill that one should master for knowledge can build you a life and in some cases it can save your life. It can put you in the right rooms and allow you to take advantage of opportunities when they arise. Knowing the right things at the right time are often more valuable than money itself. 

What’s my advice to someone who wants to become successful in life? Read. Read, read and read some more. Reading comes as a natural love for some and for others it will be acquired. Kind of like wine. Ask yourself did you actually love that first sip of wine? I bet you thought it tasted gross. Not all things are loved in the beginning but lucking when it comes to learning you are sure to hack your way into loving the activity if you don't in the beginning.  The brain loves accomplishment and when it learns it knows it is gaining power. Did you know the brain releases dopamine when you learn? Yes, that same hit of excitement you gain as a ‘boost up’ from your brain when swiping social media can be gained through learning. 

The more you learn, the more you will want to learn. I love to read, and that is reflected in my Goodreads Stats - Recently I crossed the 1000 books read mark. But it wasn't always this way! Far from it.  I wasn't a smart kid, I struggled severely in school, had an army of tutors, and only barely made it through after attending five high schools! Yup, you read that right, 5!! It took me until Grade 11 to be able to do entry-level math on my own, and to this day, I still struggle with telling time and spelling.

So, how did I end up as a self-made business owner 5 times over? There is no crazy secret; I started reading. I read and read and read until I knew what the books were talking about. I would go to the library and check out 10, 20, 30 books on business, sales, finance, leadership, and self-development!  When I opened the first book on any new subject, I had no idea what it was talking about. I knew none of the terms and barely understood the points the books were trying to make. Every word I didn’t know I would circle and look up. But with each book, I got through, the vocabulary started landing, and the pieces of the puzzle would come together until suddenly it would all make sense. 

The more subjects I learned, the more the puzzle came together, and suddenly, I had learned everything I needed to know to get to where I am today. Everything I needed to know to open a business, start a team, and create success for all those we work with. There is not a skill you can’t teach yourself. Everything is possible to learn.
